Impatience was definitely something that Liquid could agree with. All the therapy in the world couldn't match up to one decent fight. That was, if the man could provide it. He had left his coat, his gun, anything that might get in the way.

It didn't take long for him to find the clearing. By now he knew a lot about the more neglected areas of the Port. He didn't even pay attention to the weather. The temperature meant nothing. A true soldier went on regardless. So as he stepped out into the clearing, he watched the stranger carefully. "Hello," he offered, casually.

Domon had done much the same, as his cloak, jacket, and sword rested on a large rock near where he was standing, one of the few irregularities in the clearing's otherwise grassy terrain.

"Liquid Snake, right?" When Domon first arrived in Siren's Port, Liquid was a huge help to him, and he's not the type to forget something like that.

He shifted into a fighting stance, a cocky but excited grin on his face. "Ready when you are."

"That's right," he confirmed, grinning cockily in turn. It had been a while since he'd had a decent fight and he had the hope that this one would at least be challenging. The things he did with Shinji weren't quite the same and Kadaj- well. He would not think of that now. He shut his mind to the outside world, everything narrowing to this clearing as he shifted his position to a stance of his own. It would be a better fight if he had time to talk beforehand, as boss fights always were better with a little melodrama, a little stage impact.

It didn't matter. He took the words as an invitation, bracing himself and moving with all of his speed to throw a punch to Domon's face. It was a strong punch and fast, if not one that used his entire strength. He wasn't holding back. Simply testing Domon's limits.

It was probably a good thing Liquid chose to forgo the melodrama. In the entire Gundam Fight, there hadn't been a single decent fighter that enjoyed "stage impact" that wasn't a corrupt bastard.

Domon sidestepped just in time, his grin getting even cockier, more excited. He stayed in close, aiming his left fist at Liquid's face in return, a move Rain had dubbed his 'knockout punch.' Only about half strength though, it wouldn't do to end such a promising fight so quickly.

He didn't even try to dodge it, staggering back a step only to twist and throw another punch at Domon's face. He appreciated the seriousness, his own excitement growing.

But something was different. When the blow had hit, for a moment he could have sworn he felt something. No, he knew he had. A surge of excitement. A warrior's spirit. Twisting and churning emotions that welled up within the other man. He did not falter, but he did take note. What were these feelings he felt? They hit harder than the actual blows. He was grateful for his own adaptive nature.

His smile widened. This was going to be an interesting challenge.

Domon had gotten in too close to dodge properly, so he simply took the hit. He sensed Liquids excitement, his fighting spirit. He was grateful for the challenge. He brought his foot around, aiming a spinning kick at Liquid's side.

Domon probably would have tried to keep his emotions more under control if he realized Liquid could feel them that strongly, as he had no intention of distracting Liquid. This was simply something that, in his world, all true fighters could learn to do, and he hadn't realized yet that it wasn't the same in most other worlds.

Springing back to dodge, Liquid allowed his gaze to flicker around the clearing. The terrain was good for this sort of thing, he'd felt that from the start. It was not soft enough to slow him down yet not impenetrably hardened. It was far from immoveable. There were not many broken branches or fallen leaves to make his footing difficult. The ground was slightly damp from dew but Liquid's balance was impeccable at best and remarkable at worst. His speed was even better ( ... )

"Grah!" The kick hit Domon in the middle of his back right between his shoulder blades, knocking him off balance and forcing him to roll forward before quickly getting back on his feet.

"You're pretty good." And with that he rushed back in. He wasn't holding back now, and he launched a rapid series of punches that would be a mere blur to most people.

Liquid's lips twisted into a brilliant smile. His own speed was had always been remarkably fast - Snake could testify to that. He blocked some of the punches, taking the rest but not falling. They struck his body to the core, making his arms ache.

He approved.

"Not bad!" he exclaimed, twisting to deliver a low kick to the man's stomach with the intent of throwing him back.

Domon didn't need his ability to tell how much Liquid was enjoying the sparring match. In fact, Domon's excitement was incredibly obvious was well. It had been so long since he had had a sparring match like this. He was genuinely having fun, and it showed.

The kick hit its mark, forcing him back, and Domon's smirk turned into a brilliant smile of his own. "You're not bad either." And with that he charged back in to deliver a kick of his own.

This time, and this time alone, Liquid let his training take over. He twisted, kicking out to deflect the other man's kick, in perfect timing. The force of the impact forced him back a step, sending shockwaves down his leg, but that was alright. "I should hope not!" he exclaimed, playfully indignant as he moved to throw a strong punch to Domon's face.

Domon was forced back a step as well. He was incredibly impressed at the way Liquid had managed to deflect his attack, and if he was still holding back at all, he definitely wasn't now. Rather than dodge or block Liquid's attack, Domon charged into it. He was hit hard, but this would hopefully give him the opening to deliver a strong punch to Liquid's face in return.

Liquid took the hit, staggering back but not falling. That strength... it was impressive. He approved. His lips twisted into a smile as he stepped back, straightened and lunged again. The fist that flew to Domon's face was a decoy; the true strength was in the foot that last out for his torso at the same time.

He had expected that to hurt, but he certainly hadn't expected him to hit like Chibodee. This was the best kind of sparring match he could ask for.

He briefly sensed Liquid's approval in that punch, causing his cocky grin to return. It didn't last long though, because he expertly blocked the second punch aimed for his face, falling right into Liquid's trap and taking the kick to the torso full force. He managed to stay on his feet but staggered back, managing to get his defenses back up just in time for whatever attack Liquid threw at him next.

Liquid pursued relentlessly, following only to strike out again. He didn't use the same attack twice, throwing a high kick to the man's face. This was definitely a good match. The man was more than capable. It was like fighting Snake. A relatively equal match.

Domon countered the kick with a high kick of his own, adding a spinning motion to it to knock Liquid off balance. He followed up with a strong punch towards the face.
