Where: The streets of Gotham I mean Siren's Port. Sector 9.
Summary: Bruce is determined to keep patrolling even though he is 8 years old. Clark finds him on the street. Eight year olds have no defense against bullets.
Warnings: Violence, swearing, superheroes making up, flashbacks to Bathistory. Oh yeah tl;dr we broke it again.
There was a lot to worry about recently. Somewhere, SERO had pieces of blue Kryptonite hidden away, Batman had managed to get himself transformed into an eight year old, inmates had escaped from the local asylum thanks to the Joker, the whole trial with AGI was endangering newcomers night after night, and oh--throughout this crime and monsters just didn't stop. Add to that his own deeper issues with Bruce Wayne - the incident with the red Kryptonite for one - and Clark couldn't think of any way that things could get worse before they could get better.
Still, he could only do his best, survey the streets, fly in where he was needed and keep an ear on the lawyers as they lay sleepless in their beds. It was the least he could do, especially with Batman out of commission. He barely slept recently, torn up with his own guilt, and pressed by his own need to help when he was most needed, and whether he wanted to admit it or not, it was taking its toll on him.
He was tired.
Still, he'd grab a couple of hours sleep after dawn. Everything would be just fine.
There was a scuffle happening in one of the alleyways in Sector 9. He was there in moments, jumping down between a full grown man and a young boy without looking at either.
