He couldn't help but notice the position of that panel and he scowled in spite of himself. Did you have to be five feet tall to be able to reach anything around here? That just wasn't right.

"General physical assualts would be ineffective. Explosive shockwaves would be blocked, as would any spiritual or energy-based attacks; they would dissipate upon coming into contact. It would take either a greater spiritual force or very careful picking away at the arrangement of the reishi -- spirit particles -- to break it down from the outside.

"From the inside, it's easier to disrupt. Any of what I just mentioned can break the inside, and it would take a lot less force to do it. It can still take a physical battering, but energy-based abilities striking against it could knock it out."

"So, no popping off inside of it. Makes sense." Jubilee finally put in.

She walked over and flipped the main switch. "It's on." She leaned against the wall, watching the captain. "Sometime, I'd like to experiment with it, if you wouldn't mind Hitsugaya-taichou?"

Jubilee couldn't help it. New thing to batter her powers against? She wanted to try it out.

"No throwing lightning, we have to behave ourselves." Shouldn't mostly be a problem.

All right, it was going to be a problem. But they would handle it, they always did.

"Thank you." Erik had to admit, he thought this might be fun to test his powers against something that really didn't exist in his world. In the name of science, of course. Looking over at Jubilee, he wondered if she was thinking the same thing.

It was always up to him to be the mature one, wasn't it? One might think he'd have been used to that sentiment by now, but it always annoyed him when he seemed to be the only adult around.

Except for when Kuchiki muttered foul things about his current circumstances. That was still amusing for now.

"I've got no issue with your wanting to test the barrier." He would have said that even if he hadn't picked up on her mood, but there was also a part of him that wondered if that might cheer her a little bit.

But hell if he knew how to cheer up anyone but Hinamori.

She nodded. "Thanks. I appreciate it." And that was all she said. Jubilee got that contemplative look on her face yet again.

She hated the stages of grief.

"Could I? When...this is no longer an issue?"

He was almost hopping from foot to foot, excited to see what he was going to do.

"What else do you need from our end?"
