Who: Helen Magnus & Mary Winchester
When: September 26th
Where: The starter apartments
Summary: The best friendships are made in
Warnings: Two ladies talking. Who knows.
It had been quiet. Not in the port but for Helen herself. For once. There'd been enough happening, and more than enough deaths that she was calming her own activities to not add to any more - and to take care of her actual duties. The afternoons without work were the more tedious. At home Helen had enough to do that she couldn't ever find herself without work but here? The Port may have been large in size but there were only so many days you could spend out in it. And that left her little option but a big reminder of home.
James would have said that she was passing through life without really living and for once she was beginning to see it. Adam, and even John had had their goals... something personal to draw their motives to. She could say as much as she liked that she'd lost that when she'd lost Ashley, but her life hadn't ended she'd simply stopped living.
And it left here here now, contemplative as she waited for the elevator to take her back to her apartment. And she was damning allowing herself to dwell, especially when she'd end up realising that her attention was elsewhere given that she hadn't noticed the elevators arrival.
