Elaine had been jealous of Mercy, when she'd first arrived. She knew how friendly (protective, what have you) that Harry could be around women, and that women tended to respond to that sort of thing. She could that Mercy was similarly protective of her friends, and that Mercy considered Harry to be one of them. But over the course of their conversations, and meeting at Fangtasia, Elaine had realized that she actually liked the mechanic. So even if she couldn't talk cars with her like Harry could, she was actually looking forward to the three of them hanging out.
She glanced over at Harry as they headed up to Mercy's door, nudging his side with her elbow as if to reassure him that she wasn't going to get all jealous and territorial. Though she might ask Mercy to put her to work, because hey. Girls had to stick together. "Don't worry," she told him, "I promise we won't gang up on you. Much."
