[ Helen certainly hadn't planned this, at least not of this standard. When she'd received a mysterious package to her door (she really should've learned by now) she'd hardly expected it to contain a costume, and moreso at that be a costume that she couldn't remove. Well... that... didn't actually alter her plans but it made her feel a little more awkward about them. As for her plans? Finally pay a visit to Lion's Gate, to see what it was like and to say hello ( ... )

[Raul didn't mind the holiday, really. People dressed up, doing what they wanted to do behind a mask... it was interesting, at the very least. Definitely different then a normal day at Lion's Gate. But tonight he wasn't doing anything differently then usual; he had a glass of wine, and he was near the bar when he wasn't up in his office.

So when he saw her, he couldn't help but smile a little. So she had come after all. If any of the other citizens saw him now, he would never live it down. But that might not be a bad thing, and he walked over to Helen.]

I didn't expect you to actually come.

I make a habit to keep my promises. [ Even if this hadn't been one, per se. But here was one: no matter how ridiculous she may be feeling she would enjoy herself and relax ]

You had me a little curious after talking about it, and my costume decided to make plans for me. [ Because maybe here she could forget that she was wearing it ]

It's a very nice costume. You look positively radiant in it, where did you find it? [Smiles.]

Thank you. [ She gave him a smile ] Actually, it found me. I received a package this morning and this was inside of it.

And you decided to wear it? You must enjoy living dangerously.

It was a little less of a choice. [ But the second half of that was true ]

It really is lovely. Can I get you something to drink?

Just a water, thank you. [ Unless he was planning on joining her with anything? ]

Just a water? Here? [Of course he is.]

I think we can do a little bit better then just water.

I only drink if given a reason. [ She came here for the company not the drink ] What did you have in mind?

Is there really much of a reason to drink beyond wanting a drink? [Raul grabbed the attention of the bartender, waving for his usual times two.]

No, although simply coming here wouldn't be reason enough.

Coming here especially is a reason. I haven't found a place in the city that can compare with the wine at this club. [Chuckles.]

And if my reason were something else? [ Helen gave a smile to the bartender when the drinks were brought over ] I should no doubt trust you on that, then.

You should. When have I ever steered you wrong?
