I'M SORRY ;; longaevus December 5 2011, 19:45:02 UTC
Helen had been in the baseball diamond for the past twenty-three days, and even the day or two before just in case. She'd gone home briefly in between, and for a couple of days to give the other greeters time also but she'd returned. And today, like yesterday and the other twenty-two days, saw another new arrival. Damn. Not that it wasn't unexpected.

Helen crossed the field towards the man, or what she believed to be a man - with his dress it made it a little harder to tell. His arrival seemed a little out of sorts, although nothing was perfect here; perhaps there'd been something that her eyes hadn't caught.

"Good evening." Helen gave him a small, hopefully reassuring smile despite her and the location's unfamiliarity.

NO WORRIES. ♥ You're here now. c: merely_a_doll December 7 2011, 08:12:21 UTC
At the sound of a voice, the silver head rigidly bobbed up and turned in her direction. For a moment, only silence and the sprinkling of rain filled the space between them. Beneath the fabric of the white poncho, his arm gingerly shifted, until his elbow rested against the sheath of his sword attached to his waist.

"Please identify yourself." A mechanized voice returned the response, with a calm pitch that one could easily mistake as monotonous.

“My name’s Helen Magnus, I’m here to help you.” To ‘greet’ and integrate, anyway, and do anything else that she was capable of doing so.

“Are you injured at all?” She was used to disorientation but some arrived with more than others.

Now it's my turn to be oh so late. /sob merely_a_doll December 11 2011, 05:16:40 UTC
"I am not in prime condition,", Mercury reported, after a brief space of silence in a show of giving it some thought, "but I do not seem to have sustained any injuries."

He remained silent, faced towards the woman as if awaiting further explanation.

She gave a nod, indicating to the seats behind them. "Would you care to sit? The explanation as to where you are is rather long."

"Sitting would not be advisable for the constitution of my body," Mercury stated, shifting towards it. "However, if this will be long, then please feel free to sit. Human legs tire easily, do they not? I will stand besides you and listen."

Helen gave a nod, although made no attempt to move towards the seating - she could explain well enough as she was.

"To start off, you've been brought to a place known as Siren's Port. It's in Canada, on Earth, although a little different to Earth that most know." If they knew of it at all.

"The device that brought you here is known as the Core. We have no access to it and no means of returning ourselves home, unfortunately." As much as she enjoyed being a Greeter to help integrate people as smoothly as possible she hated the explanation, and the reactions to it.
