It had been quite some time since Helen had simply relaxed. She'd been here with friends before, most often Francis, but this was the first time that she had come alone. It was the first time that she had simply come to sit, and enjoy herself. Actually, it was the first time in a long time that she had done this; gone somewhere for herself, to just sit in peace for a time.
Rather than tea Helen had gotten a hot chocolate, the one that Francis had gotten the first time that she'd come to the café. It was a little too indulgent for her, she had known that before she'd bought it but it was a nice change. And that was what today was - breaking her 'routine', if even just for that one day. To be out, to simply sit and be and to enjoy herself. And so far it was good.
