[Samus looks like herself again finally, complete with facial scarring a look of profound relief written across her face.]
Sheesh, am I ever glad that's over. Apologies to anyone who ended up seeing a blue "ghost" in their NV the last week or so, that was me trying to communicate with you. Is this just me? Anyone else suddenly back to normal?

[Oh hai there, current felon speaking to you.]

What about you? Any strangeness? Or too busy fleeing from the police?

For a while it was raining indoors. Oh, and Kadaj turned into Sephiroth. And Yazoo turned into a mouse. You talk as if fleeing from the police was difficult or time-consuming. They're incompetant.

What's a Sephiroth?
Reply
Another person held within this Port. Essentially Kadaj's father.

It's a type of energy native to my galaxy. Long and the short of it is that it infects anything it touches, allowing anything that's been infected to be controlled by any kind of "head" organism.
He turned into his father? Yikes.
Reply
Energy can infect and mind-control things? [Huh. Well, maybe nanomachines are to blame.]
In the most literal of senses. I woke up with him. It was... strange.
Reply
[Woke up with him? Ooooh, things make a small amount more sense now in Samus' mind.]
I can only imagine. Most people don't mean it literally when they say they don't want to turn into their parents.

[WHAT ARE YOU IMAGINING, WOMAN? They were only cuddling!]
Although the ones that claim that the hardest of all are often the ones that unintentionally come closest.

Mmm, I'll have to take your word for it, I wouldn't know. [Her father having died when she was very, very young.]

I know only from observation and books. Don't take me for gospel on that point.
[He knew his own father for less than a year... and it drove him to want to kill him. Dysfunctional doesn't cover this family.]
Reply
Well observation can often be the best teacher. Although it doesn't stop people from making the same mistakes twice...what the hell were you thinking?
[She's not so much angry as...surprised. Liquid was many things, but he'd never struck her as desperate or stupid. This, this didn't seem like him. And maybe it was none of her business, but since getting close to Snake she'd taken a vested interest in his crazy brother.]
Reply
I don't really think I was. Thinking, that is.
Reply
Well at least you know as much. [Not much she could say, there'd been some dumbass things she'd done while not thinking about it. Sometimes you just went with it and hoped for the best.]
The three of you are like a little Coven of Crazy. It's bad for your state of mind.

The irony being, the day before someone asked me why someone as sane and normal as I was hanging around with Yaha. I suppose I disproved that in the worst way possible.
There are four of us in this "Coven of Crazy", thank you. Five if you count Shinji. And probably more that Kadaj has adopted that I don't know about. Also we are not crazy.
Reply
I think you've already disproved your "not crazy" theory pretty efficiently, and what you haven't done, the others most certainly have.
