Oui, I... happened to be at the mall when the Darkness proofing failed.

[A little smirk appears on his lips though.] And why should it? I feel fine, now. Tired, but fine.

[He has to snicker a little at that.] Of course. As if anything could do that.

... I must admit I was. And it was chaotic... I ended up being chased by one monster, only to be attacked by two different monsters.

[His little smirk turns into a little grin.] You've never seemed to mind my inexhaustible libido, Liquid chéri.

...that's it? [Just three monsters put him in that state? His respect for Francis is becoming similar to a yoyo.]

Now why would I mind that? Although you'll have to forgive me for not visiting you. I'm rather adverse to hospitals.

I had... just killed the first one, when the other creatures attacked me. And they were small, so I did not notice them at first.

But I suppose you've been proven right, cher. It doesn't seem I can die from any of the creatures in this place. [And now he's just waiting for Liquid to call him a coward again, or to say he's weak for being taken down by two little monsters. His face falls a little.]

I understand. You have more important things to do than visit me, at any rate.

Heh. That's good. Although you should be more aware of your surroundings. If one of those had been the type to imbue you with acid, that could have gone far worse. Immortality doesn't remove pain.

It's nothing to do with important things. What could be more important than visiting an injured friend? But I've... spent a lot of time in them myself. Almost a year straight, once, and then recurring visits and that's without the number of times I went there as a child. The only time I've been since then was when Father was blinded. It's uncomfortable at best. [That and he might get arrested.]

[He perks up a little. Liquid didn't say anything. Does that mean he's just saving the comments for later?] Acid would have healed faster than poison. It takes longer to remove things out of the bloodstream, in my case.

Any number of things could be, je suppose. Mais, I understand, as I said... you don't need to visit me, Liquid. [He hadn't heard from Liquid in days, he assumed he'd been busy again.]

Heh. I see. You really do have a rather unique body.

[In the background, there's the sound of a tap running.]

I'll expect to see you when you get out. To... confirm there's no lasting damage to your body.

Well, I can still get drunk. That means that it takes longer for my bloodstream to filter than it does to knit muscle and skin back together.

[He nods, and gives a little teasing grin.] Oh? So you're going to examine every inch of me, hmm?

Well it would be a shame to let your body go unexamined. I do have skilled hands.

[He gets a little twinkle in his eyes.] Mm, I know this first-hand, mon cher. You would make a wonderful doctor with the number of times you've... ah, "examined" me.

[He bursts out laughing at that.]

Well, you know what they say. Regular "examinations" are good for you. Especially with a body like yours which requires extra attention.

[He can't help but chuckle either.] Mon dieu, if all visits to the doctor's office were this exciting, I would make a daily appointment!

Maybe you need more entertaining doctors.

Mm, if they were anything like you, cher, I wouldn't be able to be a patient for any of the doctors in France. I'd have slept with them all.
