Talk about what, being a hero for everything and being a hero for the people in your life who are most important?

I think the first people you should worry about protecting are your friends. If you make a promise to keep them safe, before anything else...then they know they can count on you forever, no matter what happens. That's how you be a good friend. I think it's more important than trying to be a hero all sloppy, all over the place.

Sometimes you've gotta pick how much you can handle.

Still, he could at least give you credit!

But he was our leader. We couldn't have done it without him.

[but that's what he's supposed to say, right? not want he wants to say. So quickly, he adds:]

I guess the point is ... he couldn't have done it without us either, huh?

Right. You helped him along with every other step.

Even if we all couldn't be as level-headed as he is, heh...

Matthew. My best friend. He's not here, though.

It's hard to be the best friend of the hero, huh?

I was thankful to him for leading us, of course. But at the same time... sometimes it felt like that I wasn't doing enough. That I couldn't do enough.

Maybe there will be another chance to be the big Hero, you know. Someday. And it'll be your big chance then.

[tinderfoot]

Yeah. [pause.] But is that fair to everyone who helps me?

[madeinoblivion]

I think what's important is that whatever or whoever needs to get saved gets saved. Not who does it.

[tinderfoot]

Huh, yeah. That's true.

I guess I just don't like leaving things up to others when I can help it.

Neither do I. I get what you're saying Tyrell, exactly.
