[private to self; unhackable]

Investigation shows professional sport in the city to be more hazardous to one's health outside the stadium. Heavy crime syndicate involvement, bribery, number fixing. Athletes just as guilty as spectators. At least made it easier for access to crime scene/body.

Victim's teammates have legitimate concerns, but cast blame in wrong direction. Supernatural element to other beheadings: Visions of goats or no sign of killer. No witnesses to this incident, but physical evidence points to this being the work of a human being, albeit a cunning one.

No sign of forced entry or murder weapon. If the weapon had been taken from the scene, there would be signs. There aren't. No trail, not even the start of one. Would be troubling, if not for the state of the victim's neck. Being kept cold in mortuary has allowed signs of frostbite to develop on what's left of the skin. Tissues here died long before rigor mortis set in. Could have been misjudged as an infection, if not for water droplets found near the body at the scene. Content did not match victim's tap water. Ice weapon? Not unheard of, and definitely not implausible taking powers into consideration. No similar marks on other victims. Whether this is a copycat or a coincidence, they have their own unique stamp.

Also, footprints found. Traditional Japanese sock and sandal pairing. Doesn't match Victorian nature of the Nightrays. Whoever this was had no need to break in forcefully if they snuck in.

Looking in the wrong belfry. [You know who you are.]

[After all that, he switches to a public voice function.]

These decapitations are a rather gruesome business, but one grows used to this sort of thing. Lovely impression to leave on the newer arrivals. A wide range of targets, I've gathered, so hopefully this isn't going to be like February.

[He sounds genial for a change. Almost too genial. And always a graceful liar.]

Copycat seems unlikely, though. Decapitation isn't exactly a popular method of murder. Too traumatizing for the perpatrator, and too much work. [His tone drops to normal again for a moment.] Even if it is a meatheaded hockey player.

[Riku]

I take it we should be worried after that display.
