Over the NV is fine. I've spoken to Mr Creed about it once before - but I was thinking setting up calls, individual and group, for Newcomer students to 'catch them up' if they need or test them to their level as well as general introduction to the island - the public transit systems, currency and budgeting, cooking and laundry, basic laws, and helping those who want or need a legal guardian to find one, as well as a mentoring program, say with another student and an adult.

Outdoors would probably be best. I'm willing, more than willing really, to help set up for it - I've done it before, when I was teaching.

[He laughs and shrugs] Wouldn't be the first time. I'll make sure I have a suit ready, in case it does.

I think that's a really excellent idea, Dr. Xavier. [ And she sincerely means it. ] There are a lot of people who come from worlds whose technology and systems are so different from what's available here, and I think having something like that would help them a lot.

[ Thoughtfully, now: ] The beach or a park might be a good place for it...

Thank you. We would need supplies, and the like, as well as teachers and mentors. It's quite a lot of work. [I need help, in other words.]

I think the beach would probably be best. We could also hold a cook out or something.

Supplies and a common base for operations, we can provide-- if working out of the Community Center is all right with you. As for teachers, I'd be willing to put in some of my own time for that! I'll add a note to the original post to see who else might be interested-- do you want me to tell them to contact you?

I don't mind at all. I'm there most afternoons as it is. An added note would be wonderful, as would their being willing to contact me.

It could. Sell tickets to both, and such. Make an entire day of it.

By the way, Dr. Xavier... you said you had experience running talent shows with people who have powers before. What exactly were you teaching?

I was Headmaster of the Xavier School - all the students had powers. I've also taught others before and after I was Headmaster.

That must have been ineresting. [ Teenage hormones and budding powers seem like hell to manage. ] At least I know for sure you've had plenty of experience.
