[She clears her throat.] Wee-ll~ The epicenter of the Core unleashes a high output of geothermal energy continuously, but whenever someone new arrives, it fluctuates. Anyone with half a brain could have figured out the Core's fluctuations are caused by its high energy outputs, which cause a dimensional overlap that traps people here.

Exactly! The rip in space-time is so powerful, it's opening into other dimensions, not just planets or time periods, so it's limitless who or what can be brought here. Except, theoretically, anything with that much power is in constant danger of closing in on itself or expanding to such a degree that the whole island sinks into a void between dimensions.
