[ Ella doesnt know Byakuya as long as she does Toushirou - while she can occasionally pick out the little cues in the tiny-taichou, Byakuya is still a riddle to her. ]
Byakuya will be taking the octopus to the sea, actually. [ Well, they both will, or at least that was the plan. ]
I don't think you should eat this, Hattie. It's poisonous.
[Byakuya jumps up into the cart and holds his hands out. Chains come from them and wrap around the box, so he can pull while Ella pushes. The box is not light - thanks to all the water - and requires quite a bit of effort from both of them.
When it's finally on the cart, Byakuya jumps down and looks at Hattie. His eyebrow ticks up.]
Ella-sama, I do not understand your world's mode of dress.
[Oh dear god Byakuya is a WIZARD! After seeing that, Hattie's jaw -drops-. She rubs her eyes, then stares again. It's of no surprise that Hattie doesn't often listen to Ella and now is especially the case, as she gives a stunned look to the younger stepsister.]
... What?
[But then Byakuya's comment hits the lady like a bolt of lightning. She gasps, nearly losing her balance, but luckily grips the doorway for balance.]
...
[After the shock settles, Hattie covers her face and runs back inside in shame. *sob*]
It's quite all right Byakuya - she was ... distracted, and forgot her state of attire, I imagine. I'd appreciate it, if you didn't speak of it, Byakuya. I'll convey your apologies to Hattie. [ When she's calmed down. ]
[ Mmmg. Torn. On the one hand, Hattie kind of brought it on herself forgetting to change. On the other... she sighs faintly. ]
Are you su-- [ She cuts herself short, with a vague smile. Right, he wouldn't have offered if he wasn't sure. ] Right. Thank you. I'm sorry for making you go out of your way.
[ She knows Hattie won't appreciate Ella coming to look in on her, but after Byakuya ...er...vanishes so to speak, she heads inside to check on the stepsister. Dinner will have to be something other than seafood tonight. ]
[Hattie spent some time muttering and grumbleing under her breath as she walked around all over the place. After her moment of woe and weeping passed, it was time to pick up the pieces and start anew!]
[She's in the bathroom fussing with her hair.]
That fool. If he thinks he can resist me, he's got another thing coming!
Ella-san, would you care for some assistance?
[He manages to keep the disgust off his face. Barely. But... octopus? Really?]

[ Liar. ]

Oh.
[And upon hearing he won't be long, the blonde pouts. Upon hearing why she pouts even bigger.]
What? You're kidding!
[.. Wait, -is- she kidding? Or is Ella just trying to drag Byakuya away for some cuddly smoochy bathhouse time? NOT ON HER WATCH, LADY.]
Tell me the truth, is it -really- poisonous?

[And he goes about bracing the branches so that he can just pull the box up into the cart. He just ticks up an eyebrow at the order.]
I will pull; you push.

Uh... well... no, it isn't. I think. [ Probably. She seizes the end of the container and pushes while Byakuya pulls. ]
But all the same, I don't think it's a good idea to eat it. My friend Sarina seemed pretty horrified at the idea.

[Hattie smiles victoriously, which is short-lived by the man's determination to return the sea creature.]
What, but you can't! That wasn't free!
[Though did she really care about that thing? Probably not, but she felt forced to stall.]
I don't care, Sarina doesn't like me anyway.

[ This distracted response from Ella, as she considers both Hattie's words and the what the hell was that from Byakuya. ]
Uh - what?
[ A glance given to Hattie, and she rested her hands on her hips with a huff of air. ]
What are you talking about, you've spoken to her once. What makes you think she doesn't like you?

I meant no insult, Ella-san. I am unused to such garments.
[And even offers a small bow on top of that, to Ella.]
If you would like to see to her, I can return this.

It is not out of my way. I will return the cart when I have returned the octopus to the sea.
[And with that, he's gone... The cart reappears, later, near the porch, cleaned out and minus one octopus. And he goes home to gossipclean up.]
