[Normally sleep wasn't hard for Namine. But since the arrival of a couple of... unwanted figures from her past, the stress and nervousness wasn't doing well for her at night. And when she actually could fall asleep, they just ended up being nightmares.
It's late, and she doesn't want to disturb any of her roommates with questions or talking out loud

Walk, usually. Though I guess that wouldn't be recommended here after dark.

Fire's pretty destructive, you know? It can completely annihilate entire cities, entire forests, it can hurt, maim, even kill. [He blows the flame out like a candle, smoke curling away from his fingertip.] Honestly in today's world where you don't need open flame to keep warm or cook your food, there's not a whole lot of productive recreational use for a power like mine, outside of maybe a smelting factory or a fireworks testing facility. Sure, I manage to have a good time with it, but aside from the convenience of an instant lighter whenever anybody nearby wants a cigarette, it doesn't have a lot of practical application.
[He shakes his head.] Doesn't mean I don't find entertaining uses for it. [A pause, and he nudges her ( ... )

I guess that's true. I just... I don't know where to start for something like that. It's not as if I could just practice with it until I find something I could do. [Oops, there's her fear talking again.] But... I'll try to find something.

[Giving her a curious look, kind of chewing on his lower lip a moment, he squints a bit.]
So I know you said you weren't able to pull out the memories of the last time you were here. Apparently those are even beyond your reach... but what about my memories of Xion? [He pauses for a moment before continuing.] You said yourself that you had something of a hand in that. Do you think you might be able to... help me remember her?

She should have thought about something like that before, but even with permission to go into someone's memory, she's hesitant. But with Axel, it made sense to her for him to ask that. No one ever wants their memory altered like that so that one of their best friends was taken away.
And she knows what it's like to be forgotten as well.]
...I can try.

She looks apologetic, but inside she feels a bit better. It's nice to have something constructive to work towards now.] Maybe, we can save it for another night, if that's okay... [She mumbles off, covered her yawn with a hand in front of her mouth.]

[After about half an hour of reading in silence, he glances sidelong at her and notices she seems to have nodded off. ... Oh. Er... Well, now what? Setting the NV down on the couch he scratches his head, then taps his lower lip thoughtfully. Well, she looked like she needed the rest, anyway; he can just let her stay. Getting to his feet he slides his coat off and haphazardly drapes it over her, a little awkward. He might have a bit of a big brother streak, but this is still kind of new to him. He peers at her a moment with a helpless sort of grin, then rubs the crown of his head again before picking up his NV and turning to head down the hall to his bedroom. They can talk more in the morning.]
