Not to ask a stupid question, but I've never had to- [Sigh. The teenage boy on the other end of the feed rustles some fabric and scratches his ribs audibly.]- it's just that usually if I'm sick, my Mom...

[He shakes his head, which you probably can't hear, but the slight embarrassment over the above admission probably seeps into his tone just a ( Read more... )

There's both a clinic and several hospital. If you can't make it someone can come to you.

What are your symptoms?

I don't think I'm too sick to make it. My throat is sore and I have a headache...uh, and- [He clears his throat, kind of embarrassed here.] -I think it's just an early flu. Except for the rash. That's the part that I don't know what to do about.

The rash would need to be looked at. Would you like directions to the clinic or for someone to come to you?

Directions will work! Thanks. [Scratch, scratch, scratch.]

All right. [ Here, have some directions. More of where it is rather than from your location since she doesn't know that ] And do be careful not to scratch the rash?

Hold on. If you aren't well, you shouldn't go alone. Allow me to accompany you there.

And don't scratch. Don't you know that scratching is the easiest way to irritate rashes? You will only make it worse.

Uh...okay. Sure, I guess.

[Scratch, scrat-oops.]

Why does the thing that feels better make it worse? That's so unfair.

[A small sigh. She's not answering that until she can stop your scratching in person.]

Where are you?

It's the apartments they let you stay in when you're new. The free ones. I think Shikamaru called them the Towers?

The Tower Apartments, yes. What's your room number?

[Since I have no idea, let's just pretend he gave you a number here. Hahaha.]

[In a short amount of time, Caster arrives at the given number. She raises a gloved hand, pauses before her knuckles can knock against the door, and moves to lowers the hood from her face first. After all, it was only rude to speak with to someone when she concealed her eyes.

With the little task finished, she brings her curled fingers against the surface. It resounds, gently:

Knock, knock, knock.]

[Yosuke opens the door and does a half-bob that is basically a lazy bow. He wants to be polite since he doesn't know her, but he's kind of dizzy. Don't mind the staring, you just don't look the way he's used to people looking.]

Hi, you must be...oh. I forgot to ask. Um, I'm Hanamura Yosuke. I guess it's the headache, but I'm not thinking straight. I can use that as an excuse, right?

[Caster gives him a cursory once-over, assessing his condition before she responds. She wears a delicate smile, and her voice is just as gentle as she addresses the poor, sick boy.]

Just as long as you don't take advantage of it, Mr. Hanamura. [In Japan, she would have attached '-kun', but this was Canada.] I am Caster. We spoke over the NV recently. So, come. Let us be off. [Gingerly, with her usual elegance, she extends her hand to place it on his back, intending to guide him down the hallway.]

[However, she doesn't forget her etiquette. With a subtle, apologetic note, she then adds:] Please excuse me.

[He wouldn't have found the -kun strange at all of course, but he doesn't object to the Mr. either. In fact, he straightens up just a bit, trying to look a little taller and cooler.]

[Maybe she'll think that light flush across his cheeks is from the fever, instead of the hand on his back.]

That's an interesting name. But I guess a lot of the ones you hear around here are.
