[He really couldn't have picked a worse time to show up, in either his world or this one. But of course, he hadn't picked it at all. Details. They're not what Sherlock is concentrating on right now. Not really.]
[He needs to know if it worked. If he's dead, if he's alive-- that's moot here. His brain is buzzing, partially from physical pain, partially from readjusting to the Pull, partially every horrible thing running through his mind. He can't be here right now. He can't.
Moriarty's dead. The coward's way out. Coward's-- the bastard. A gun in that stupid goddamn mouth he hated so much, and it was done. A draw. All of that, and it ended in a draw, while Jim died thinking he'd won. At least he died scared. But Sherlock had a plan. With Molly, he'd made a plan, and he can't take care of it here again. It galls at his insides as the images flash before him: John, down on the ground, still in danger. Mrs. Hudson, happy and oblivious to her own peril. Lestrade... so easily drawn into doubts.
The Core is nearby. He wants to run to it, scream at it, demand of it the answer to his question. Am I dead? Sherlock tries to stand and do just that, and he does scream, but it's because his kneecaps are shattered, and he collapses again. The softer fall he'd been banking on was somewhat eliminated by the baseball diamond. A rib fracture too, but his arms and legs were intact, somehow. The transmission continues as Sherlock surveys his wounds, but when he turns on his side, the NV catches a glimpse of his face.
It's not one characteristic of him. His eyes are puffy, and his expression, underneath the pain, is contorted with some deep sorrow. Were the lighting better, one might observe a few tear stains before he snatches up the NV in trembling hands.]
Fu--
[It flies. Sherlock's thrown it across the field, and the transmission cuts out with a loud clunk.]
[Once Sherlock cares enough to give an explanation, this is the best everyone gets.]
Yes, the hospital. Don't visit.
((OOC: Sherlock is arriving back directly after his series' rendition of the Reichenbach Fall. That... just aired. SO I'm putting the bulk of the post behind a spoiler cut. If you've seen the episode/don't care, feel free to click <3))
