No one at this market's ever heard of Paopu before...they keep trying to give me this other star-fruit, carambola, but I don't think it's the same.
So we swapped legends, me and this lady selling fruit. She told me a little about Grayson's Orchards and the silver trees...anyone ever heard about that place being extra-haunted after darkness? She's been working her own corner store for fifteen years here, and even she doesn't know how they even pick anything there after siren,
Grayson's cherries are thirty-five dollars a half-pound on sale! Can you believe that? That's more than two hours of my stadium work for a little more than a handful...But she gave me just one to sample, 'cause the lady's nice. I would never pay that kind of munny, though. I'm still bringing a whole crate of other stuff home, because the normal food is priced okay.
Sounds like a lot of the food vendors are a little worried about the bad water at Winthers' Lake too, what'll happen if it spreads out into the grazing lands or the farms.
But someone recognized me as a 24 DJ and not 'that kid from the video' too, so for me personally, things are looking up.
