[hi this is a video post, finally. BB's beard looks pretty decent again, and because he's only wearing a tank top right now you'll notice that his entire left shoulder/upper arm and part of his chest are bandaged, thanks to Liquid - he also looks kind of HAPPY or at least content though (CALL THE NEWS), which is the reason why he didn't go to a ( Read more... )

[Liquid sounds almost reluctant to speak.]

I... apparently have one. [Facepalm. He really should have mentioned it before.] I'm a little wary of it, but then I haven't tested it out fully yet. I'd not be content to rely on it, but it could be useful to me in a pinch.

[A pause.]

Master Miller cooks. Interesting.

Really? Anything useful? Offensive or passive? Come on, tell me about it.

[snorts a laugh]

His cheese fondue is legendary.

...this town has an interesting sense of humor. [Sigh.] Passive, I would say. I... can heal, when exposed to water. As in, if I get wet. [A pause, because goddamn that pun is terrible.] It was slower, at first - I hardly noticed it until the other day when Emmerich made me treat a few cuts to my hand. When I washed them, they healed before my eyes. I tested it a few times - it's definitely water that does it. It seems to work a lot slower on larger wounds, but it's getting gradually faster.

...huh. You learn something new every day, I suppose.

Only water? Or any liquid?

Wait--

[...OOOOH. Liquid Snake! cue laughing.] I see. Well, that's useful. Maybe you should try it on those bruises you have around your neck.

I already did. It got rid of them. And then I got more. I'll take care of them when I get home, I don't feel like side-trekking to the lake or something.

[Dammit, he knew there'd be laughter.]

I've only tested it with water so far.

[smile smile] You should try it with booze.

Father. How many times do I have to tell you I don't drink? And I don't particularly want to pour alcohol over wounds. Besides, wouldn't you find that a waste of alcohol?

Well, but if you get into a drunk brawl, that would be kinda nifty, don't you think? I'm a little jealous.

[Alright, that earned a laugh.]

That would be quite interesting. But it would still be a waste of alcohol.

I'm not going to argue that. I'm just thinking over the possibilities, though then again, that might fall into the 'fighting dirty' category.

No such thing in a true battle. When it's life and death, you use whatever options are there to you. "Fighting dirty" is just something people claim whenever you use an advantage you have.

But it wouldn't be about 'life and death' in that scenario. Some people fight for sport, too. A fair competition; see who can do better under the same conditions. Otherwise, I agree with you. For the most part.

In sport, yes... it would be unfair. But don't forget, it requires a trigger to be activated. As long as that trigger is removed, there is no chance of that. Then again, I fought someone who regenerated their own wounds recently. It was quite entertaining.

Really. Well, in that case, it would be something different. Regardless, it's a rather useful ability you have there. Can save your life.

It could be useful. But as I said, I don't plan to rely on it until I've tested its limits as far as I can.

Nobody should rely on something like that. But, er, how do you plan to 'test' its limits, if you don't mind me asking?
