[ there's a rustling, off-screen, and there's nothing in view but the edge of a desk before the camera swings over to Fratley, who's staring out the window. for once, the knight is hatless and coatless, clad only in his pants and a sleeveless shirt that betrays just how very inhuman his anatomy is. he doesn't seem to notice the camera at first, and in fact appears to be dozing; the sunlight filtering in through the window ends up illuminating him oddly, giving the edges of his figure a strange glow...
suddenly, the knight stirs, then blinks at the camera. ]
Awake already?
[ his voice is faint, since he's so distant. the knight stands, pads closer to the recording camera, and his hand reaches out to pat... the viewer? or apparently so, anyway, since his (clawed) hand reaches off screen and the camera jiggles a bit.
apparently not having realized the NV was on beforehand, the knight begins to speak. ]
Those who listen to the messages of this 'network' must tire of questions by now, but there is a matter I seek advice on.
I have been searching for employment. As my only proficiency is in combat, my options are few.
It has been suggested that I look into work as a guard, but it seems my appearance is a deterrent for some of the locals. [ though that may not be the only thing deterring them. ]
So my question is this: are you aware of any establishments currently seeking to employ guards or someone with fighting skill, who care neither for appearance nor the fact that I am not a true resident of this place? I would prefer to remain unaffiliated, but I am able-bodied and willing to work at any hour required of me. [ even during the Darkness. ]
If there are any alternatives you might suggest, that would be appreciated as well.
