[ The NV is picking up the sound of darkness monsters growling, surprisingly close. Unicorn was dozing quite comfortably in what she declared as her part of the forest. Until the monsters got too close... most didn't get past her protective barrier - save for one anyway. Thus, the NV picks up a decidedly equine-like snort of sleepy surprise, and

It was also lucky he could take stinger missiles to the face and keep standing, because he had a feeling even he couldn't outrun this thing for too far. Despite that, he led it a merry dance before finally reaching the edge of the forest, in front of a sheer but short cliff leading down to the water. He braced himself at the edge, ready to dodge if it charged at him again. There was no way he was getting himself killed.]

So sure of its victory when the prey stops by the cliff - of course there was nowhere the silly man could run to now. The bull had him cornered. It paced back and forth a few times, glowering at Liquid all the while, bits of plantlife catching fire where it stepped.
And then there it was - the moment of truth. Billy the Bull tossed his head with a mighty, thunderous roar almost as if mocking the small human, and charged-- And then we cut to commercial :D ]

[His right arm is in rather a lot of pain. Why is it always the right one? He still had faint burn scars from that acid-spitting monster he met at the start.]
It won't matter in the morning. I can fix it up.

It is no great effort at all, if that is your concern. You were injured coming to my aid.
[ Shame on you, rushing out like that. Not that it was her fault or anything, no no. ]

[ Unicorns are wary when it comes to owing people favors anyway. That and he -had- gotten hurt coming to her aid, so fair was fair.
She didn't look too injured herself - a few scratches and some singed skin, but that was already healing because unicorns are hax that way.
She takes hold of Liquid's arm with one hand, laying her other on top - the mark on her forehead and the area below her palm both begin glowing brightly- the healing does not take long, and once her mark stops glowing, she releases Liquid's arm. ]
How do you feel now?

[Incredible. Such talent.]
Remarkable. It doesn't hurt at all.
[He flexed his arm, studying it with interest.]
You have a remarkable talent, Amalthea.

[His tone was gruff, but honest. The tone of a man who was used to acting tough and not admitting he had feelings.]

I am. But I must return to the forest. It is rare that the creatures are able to pass through my protective spells. I see that I must endeavor to strengthen them lest there be a repeat of this incident.
Will you be able to return safely?

[If worst came to worse, he could just head for the church - it was closer.]
