[It's late afternoon when the video flicks on, tacked on to the side of the table in Riku's apartment. There's a black cat perusing in the background, fluffy tail swishing, but the image finally comes into focus on the young man's face. The first thing that might be distinguishable to people who know him is that he's had a slight trim, just enough to look as he did when he first arrived. He was getting rather shaggy-looking.
The second might be the almost flustered look on his face, something he can't really hide.]
I don't understand the need for a sex education panel in Felton. Aren't there more important things going on in the Port, like...oh, I don't know, a possible killer on the loose, what we can do to protect newcomers? Maybe more details about the Core? You know, important things.
[He frowns.]
Look, I understand that education's important. I do, honestly. But there's no need to flag a person down to ask them if their hair is naturally silver and if they can prove it. Especially when I'm working. [He was just getting to try out some instruments today, darn it.] I'm surprised Mr. Cohen didn't flush them out for being so loud during practice today.
[He glances down at the table, where there's papers and books, notably a few textbooks, strewn about.]
I need some more book recommendations, if anyone can give me some. I've been...busy, but the holiday season's coming up and I wouldn't mind having something to do. [It's such a lie, but-] And any hobby ideas. I'd like to try something new.
[And the feed turns off.]
[Private Lock]
Hey. Lexaeus is gone. He disappeared sometime last week. Keep quiet about it, can't you? There's no reason to bring it up or rub it anyone's face. [Zexion may be the only one left, but it's just distasteful to make fun of his friend's disappearance.]
