I have been given some information about this city. None of it was remotely substantive. Not a single piece of information was remotely useful, save that it is evidently unsafe to venture out at night, because a poor criminal justice system is evidently one of the many faults of this place, and save that I am expected, evidently to stay. I am expected to stay in this foul and stinking apartment. I am expected to stay complacent, as this is natural, as though there is nothing to question here.
But I will question, I assure you. My being kept here is utterly unlawful. It was made clear enough that I cannot leave; ergo, this is abduction, and as I was on an airplane at the time of said abduction said crime involves the crossing of international borders, adding a heavier penalty still to the crime.
My question, therefore, is twofold: Who is responsible for this, and what is his or her justification for this act, as laughable as said justification will undoubtedly be?
