As many of you know I attend an affiliated university; Hawthorne. My reasons for doing so are quite simple: Hawthorne offers far better education in the field in which I wish to study, and can guarantee that I have job opportunities open to me when I finish in a few months time.
What I'd like to know is what the rest of you feel about affiliation, and your reasons for and against it. If you're affiliated already, why did you decide to do so? And if you aren't, what's keeping you from it? Sure, both companies have their turn offs, and it's easy to focus on those and forget that there are good reasons for being affiliated too. I'd be all for neutrality myself if not for the unrest of the last few months; there's no doubt the companies provide security.
I apologise for only asking more questions, but as I'm sure you realise I'm asking this for a very serious and personal reason--and I'm hoping that if some discussion can come of it people will realise that they do have options. It doesn't have to be neutral all the way, and the companies aren't all bad news, but... Yes, I'm getting ahead of myself now.
