Thank you all for the suggestions to my last transmission, although I believe only one of you was actually of any kind of help.
But my work in finding a way to escape has been pushed to the back burner, as it were. I've been listening to the daily news this last week or so, and stumbled upon an interesting observation. Has anyone noticed a certain ... poetic justice to some of the recent stories? The professor. The gynecologist who met an untimely end. The man running Ponzi schemes. The teenager. There seems to be some kind of common link, perhaps some vigilante skilled in magicks. Or something much more sinister. While the punishments may be deserved, I'm not entirely sure if we as a people should stand by and let it continue.
