A portal flared up on the roof on the apartment building, inky and black, and Axel stepped out of the dark corridor to a familiar sight: a rooftop at sunset, the sun dying in the west and the sky streaked orange and violet. Full night wasn't far off, nor were the sirens, but he wasn't concerned. His chakrams were always within reach, and this high up, on a Darkness-proofed building, they would be about as safe as you could get in Siren's Port. Which was good, as Axel didn't care to have anything interrupt the conversation he wanted.
He reached back into his wriggling hood and produced Winner, who was beginning to get too big for such treatment, setting her down to let her have the run of the place. That done, he chose a perch on the edge of the roof facing west--one leg crooked to rest his arm on, the other dangling fearlessly over the long drop--and waited for Riku to appear.
