[The sun's dying in the sky when Axel steps out of the dark corridor onto the baseball diamond; the sirens will go off soon, but he doesn't mind. He picked this time and this place deliberately--nobody hangs around the baseball field unless they're a greeter or a newcomer, and they'll all have fled to shelter from the coming Darkness by now. Or he assumes so anyway, and the field is empty when he steps out onto it.]
[He's not worried about the Darkness himself, either. In a pinch, he can escape through another portal. It's been a while since he's had an evening free from either of his jobs to be out here, waiting for Terra--which is fine, because this has been a while in coming.]
[There's nothing more dangerous than the heart. Wasn't that Xemnas's philosophy, and Saix's too, when it came down it? For Axel's part, he can add that the only thing that might be more dangerous is friendship--look at what it drove him to do, in the end. He gets it, but that doesn't mean he'll let it go.
