Summary: A coyote has come back from the dead. An angel is unimpressed.

The night air was alive with the scents of the island. slinking through the shadows, the coyote found a place that smelled like prey and not like the things that stalked the night.
Her ears pricked forward, hearing a sound on the wind. stalking forward, she flushed the rabbit and caught it in her jaws. She gulped it down, licking at the blood on her snout. Another scent came on the wind and curiosity drove her out of the hiding place she'd found for herself.
Stepping out of the deep shadows, she raised her snout into the wind and sniffed. Something Powerful was coming. She probably shouldn't go see what it was, but curiosity drove her out to look.
