Roxas hadn't spent much time on the coastline of Siren's Port. Almost none, in fact, not since his first day here when he'd stubbornly tested the limits of the pull itself before conceding that what people told him about it was the truth. He didn't remember it looking like much of anything special. Sort of dank and depressing.
Looking ahead, it seemed like Xion had found a stretch of beach that was a lot nicer, the afternoon sun lighting it up with a warm golden glow. The waves were gentle, and he felt a pang of familiarity-no pictures in his head this time, but that hazy, unbalanced feeling that he'd come to recognize as something from his past. From Sora's. Whatever.
He'd intended to spend his free afternoon running some errands, maybe stopping by the Kahve SS to see if he could work some unscheduled time, but when Xion had suggested this, he couldn't say no. It still struck him as strange, that they could just go and have fun and talk when the last time they'd seen each other outside of this world had been so awful. Stranger than the fact that until a few days ago, he hadn't remembered any of that.
"How'd you find this place?" he asked as their feet touched sand. "Have you been exploring?"
