1. I got into an anime for the first time in years. It is called Death Note and you have probably heard of it maybe. Whatever the point is I fell for an anime, AND IT BROKE MY HEART. Well fuck you Death Note. I don't need you. It's not like I'm going to go read the manga now and totally rewatch the whole series. Are there movies? Because it's not

oh man. big deathnote fan.

theres a series of japanese live-action films based on the series. i've been trying to get my hands on them. and i heard somewhere theres a lot of interest in hollywood in doing an american live-action version.

also, basically-hermits unite.

oh dude live action movies of animes kind of creep me out. but that show was so good.

You know, I used to be okay with anime. The old animated Hobbit movies from the 80s are anime, as is one of my favorite films of all time, the Last Unicorn. I liked Robotech. But I fell in with a crowd of anime-loving gamers several years ago and was coerced into watching many episodes of Ranma 1/2. I don't remember any of the plot, but it was bad enough to turn me away from anime for the rest of my life. (Well, that and Legend of the Overfiend. Bleah!)

I totally agree. I mean, I wanted to see what would happened, but I was so cranky about the sudden lack of L and I didn't like the new guys. (Though I was biased, because I was all like, "Man screw you Near, you're not my REAL L." and then I moped about it.)

I remember Death Note! I started reading the manga... and then such a long time later they started the anime, then the movies, then the English anime.... But yes.
