Music I grew up with gets played on my mom's favorite oldies station now...

Back in the late 90s, i was on the college shuttle bus, heading to class from the craphole apartment i was staying in. The bus's radio was turned to one of the rochester alternative stations. An early Pearl Jam song came on the radio. From the seat in front of me, i heard "Wow... i didn't know this station played Classic Rock."

Lord, I think I heard someone say that too, maybe a bit more recently, but not recently enough for it to make any sense at all.
