Well, actually, Obamacare was never supposed to be for Congresscritters. They are exempted from it by law. They instead get a much better health care package.

Oh, i know it's different healthcare, although the proposal at the start was "why can't every american get the same health care we give to our elected officials", it's just ironic and amusing as hell that he's

A: a doctor
B: wealthy enough to afford any healthcare he wants
C: pissing and moaning about a month's wait for some of the most lavish health coverage in the country when millions of americans haven't been able to afford *any* for years.

So he gets elected on a "WTFSOCIALISMHEALTHCARENOOOOOOOO" basis; and as soon as his arse hits the leather seat, he has his hand out for free health-care when he could afford better than the majority out of his back pocket?
When did being so self-righteous start to = success, or is it the other way around with these assholes?

his ass doesn't hit the seat 'til january, and his hand's already out.

As for pompous self-righteousness, sadly, that's always been a well-trodden route to success. Yes, it gets your soul all sticky, but when it already belongs to somebody else, what's to lose?

Let's make it really like the portion of his constituents -- let's have it so you start paying your fees immediately, but you don't get to have any actual medication or coverage until the first year has passed. Everything you had before coverage started is a "preexisting condition" and isn't paid for. Yeah, let's make his coverage match what most Americans get to face when they start a new job and you get new insurance coverage... fun times, fun times.

Insurance is such a scam, I feel. We pay and pay and pay and pay in hopes that we will be able to afford it if something goes wrong that we actually have to use it, but for the most part we may as well be simply setting money on fire for all we see for it. And yet, for all of that, we are also at the whims of those who control that money, who decides what and where said money is given and how, and by what stipulations and rules can be used to deny claims...be it health, car, home, or whatever. And so the government tries to curb a lot of that, which went rampant as a result of the rich failing to realize or understand that not everybody else in the country is as they, and as a result, we end up with prinks like this in office who truly fail to see the forest for the trees.
