Auditions today, fun...for some odd reason I had no nerves whatsoever, until the middle of my second etude. So being the smart one, I didn't look at any of my pieces at all until last night, learned two of the three pieces in an hour (thank god I'm great at sightreading) and realized the third piece was the same song for the 7th grade band ( Read more... )

Pf, you should have told me you wanted to practice. :PPP But yay for you doing well...and Elizabeth said you needed to "work on your tone." Guess not. ;-)

But I was on the orgasmic reed, haha. So I had an AMAZING tone. When I played on my previous orgasmic reed, Elizabeth said I had amazing tone as well. /me has to buy more of these orgasmic reeds.

I wish our auditions were that easy. We all have to do the chamber one and its rediculous. I haven't done much with it yet but it invovles many sixteenth notes and many many notes that would enable me to poke myself in the face while I play them. IE - They're freakishly high.

Eee... oh well. Glad your auditions went well!
