One of Alex' entries made me think of this poem of La Fontaine we all learn here in the first classes, La cigale et la fourmi. I've always been more of a "cigale", money interests me only if it's able to help me being happy and that means using it, not keeping it away

Yesterday was even worse ! I couldn't get in the site from the computer at work because of the certificate and I couldn't get rid of it, so I asked for help by email and then by phone and never got any reply... until today, so almost exactly one day later, or should I say one day late... Fortunately, after even more cursing and ranting, I finally managed to get into the site and to do what I had to do !!! But I was fuming most of the day :((

I know by heart parts of La cigale et la fourmi but I didn't remember the whole thing. I went looking for other old poems that I remember a bit from my time in school ;) Like Joachim du Bellay, Lamartine avec "Objets inanimés avez-vous donc une âme" ou "Un seul être vous manque, et tout est dépeuplé !", Mallarmé et ses "Abolis bibelots d'inanité sonore"... Je me demande encore ce que celui-là veut dire, et j'ai pourtant fait un cursus littéraire à l'école ;D

Well, I'm relieved your sorted your certificate problem. Funny that, plenty of people told me they had so much trouble registering their income tax via internet, whereas for me it was easy-peasy ("comme une lettre à la poste", as we say here).

Oh well, my 'puter can't produce a proper LJ cut, but it connects to the tax administration without a problem... I suppose that's life... you win some, you lose some...

And you are WAY too modest when it comes to the walls, they always are gorgeous, whatever the subject. :D
