It's gonna be a crazy evening

Jul 09, 2006 20:07

And it's already begun. If you're not more interested than me in football, you probably don't know that Italy and France are fighting tonight in the World Cup finale. I've heard car horns and crackers outside for more than one hour but the last minutes have been even louder, so I guess the match has begun ( Read more... )

It just put me in the mood to finish Sacred and Profane, although I want to wait for the long August vacation before I jump again head first in this universe ;)

Well, as long as she's not saying hurtful things about the frogs, I couldn't care less about who she's cheering for ;) It's one of the things I really dislike in sports, the way people so easily hate who they will love during the next events and vice versa, and this was brought home very early and in a quite painful way to me. Plus fair-play is often nothing more than a pretty word...

I hope Alex will appreciate the wall, as I'm not so fond of it. I'm really glad you do though. Thanks for telling me ! ;D

Naw... she likes Frogs too... (she LOVES Rose after all) hee ;D It's just that she's taking Italian in school so she's on an Italian kick right now. LOL

I always love your wallpapers... particularly ones that have Ewan in them. ;D *hugs*

I know Alex will love it too! :D

Yay! another Guy fan! LOL. If you're interested I have two or three pic spams that are recent of him on my LJ. I'm also starting a fansite for him too. Have you heard him sing? *gushes* Yep, I'm a bit Guy crazy lately. But that's a good thing no? :)

*gasp*

You know, I have this ...image in my head of how the two look together, you know? And it's always lovely, of course. :D But here, you've really... it's so gorgeously different from what I usually picture. This is innocent!Julien and Sailor!Charles, and it just puts me in mind of how I pictured their very first encounters to be. How devastating, how romantic that is. You've captured the early days of their relationship!

Stunning work. Of course, your usual marvelous craftsmanship, lovely colors, and a mood that just grabbed me and made me go re-read the early chapters of Provocateur again - and I never reread my own stuff!

Thank you so much. It is absolutely beautiful. *HUGS YOU*

I'm so sorry for the late answer, I didn't have time at work yesterday and I had no internet back at home for a long time *scowls at ISP*

I'm so glad you like the wallpaper ! and that it does "speak" to you. I on the other hand like it a bit less every time I look at it ;) I think Julien and Charles deserve far better ! But there's not a lot of (good) caps of Charles to play with, though I hope to create something else someday. Maybe when I'll have all Scarlet and Black caped (?)...

As I was rewatching The Bounty, I couldn't help but think how I was waiting for Julien to appear at every minute of the story and so I too began to re-read parts of Provocateur. I think I'd like to do something with Fletcher Christian and Julien, and even with Bligh - I'm still so amazed how clearly slashy the movie is, something I didn't totally get I think when I first saw it as a teenager ;)

ohmigosh, siriala. once again, i am stunned by your talent. of course, the subject matter always helps, and you cannot get any more perfect that julien and charles!

it's gorgeous! *goes to rightclicksave*

as for soccer, i have NO idea, i knew Italy and France were playing, but only because i saw it on the telly of the restaurant penni and i went to eat at. ;p so who won?

and too bad they don't have a soccer player that looks like that. i would stuck to the tv too. may even have to move to europe where they show the matches on tv all the time, and not just during the world cup. :D

hi sweetie!

I try not to use the Julien icon here to avoid confusing it with Sandrine's but it begs to be used now. Also, I wanted to say to you too that I'm sorry I didn't reply earlier to your wonderful comment, I got no internet access at home yesterday evening, my ISP is being very playful these days...

Have you read Provocateur and Sacred and Profane ? It's such a beautiful and involving (?) story, with two gorgeous characters. I wish my wallpaper would show that better !

Italy won ! As I'm not interested and didn't watch the match, I can't say if it was deserved or not and I don't really care. I just hear all day long about the bad reaction of our "national hero", Zinedine Zidane, to some stupid comment made by an Italian player to make him angry (and it worked !).

You're so right about matches being shown all the time on TV here. I couldn't stand it before I had cable and more channels that I could watch even if I watched TV every day. So maybe it's a good thing that Ewan's talent is in acting more than in playing football ;D

oh, i have most certainly read Provocatuer and Sacred and Profane. Very, very many times. I literally have read Provocateur like at least ten times, if not more. I LOVE IT! Alex wrote that amazingly, and to this day, I still read bits and pieces here and there. I'm sure you can guess which bits and pieces. ;p

Yes, I'm glad that Ewan acts instead of playing sports, but after a day like today (did you SEE the pics on the playground siriala, if not you had better run over there), it makes it hard to have to wait a year to see the finished product. you know?

and you know I love your work. You are absolutely amazing and talented. I may need you to help me with my LWR wall. So far, I've got a canvas with three pics on it. Uhm, yeah. That's about as far as I can get. If I send it to you, will you help me?

please? *makes puppy dog eyes*

you can go to my journal and see a super hawt pic of ewan if you want. :D
