A call with the dead

I had one of those crystal clear "there's no way I;'mm dreaming" dreams. I was trying to call my mom and a man answers the phone, which I soon recognize as my dad's voice (he passed away May 2007). How quaint this happens Halloween morning

I've had dreams (although I never get really vivid ones) of my dead grandfather hanging around, and it's always me noticing him in a normal situation and then after a while saying "Hey, you're dead! You're not supposed to be here!" This went on for a couple of years and I thought of it in terms of a lame kind of haunting (to put this in perspective, I loved my grandfather a lot and we had no problems in our relationship. The anger or confusion I expressed at him being in a dream was mainly due to a sense of inappropriateness I got from him being there.) Climactically enough, a couple months ago I had a dream where we were in his house and he was being summoned in some sort of seance format, with protoplasm and everything, and he told me he loved me and my grandmother and he ascended; kind of turned into light and then was gone. I haven't had a "haunting" dream since

I don't know what to make of that. I'll think on it. Seems like there was some message you were supposed to get, though...
