I absolutely wish she would've told us more about the veil. It was always left at "LOL SIRIUS IS DEAD!" and nothing more. (Though I secretly always hoped he wasn't dead and would return, the fifth movie with Bellatrix's little killing curse crushed my hopes and dreams.)

I do agree with the above in saying the flashbacks [I assume Snape's TINY little worst memory scene in the fifth movie] were definitely crap. They were WAY too short and we couldn't really see any of the Marauders except James, though we did get a small glimpse of who we can assume was Sirius.

You would figure JKR would consider him a more important character, being Harry's Godfather and what not. ;_;

P.S.- Hello, Lynsey, my name is Rae, and I'm also a huge Siriusoholic. I've named my dachsund-beagle after him, and he is my current LJ icon theme. I bawled my eyes out when the veil took him in the book and in the movie (though it was more of a vortex in the movie?!). I bawled after the movie for a good ten minutes while my friends sat and laughed at me. May he always

Aww..if I ever get a dog he will definatly be named Sirius! I cried so much in the 5th book when he died, it took me at least half an hour to get past that page cos I was weeping so much, but in the film I didnt cry at all. It just wasnt what I imagined, he didnt fall through, he pretty much floated, which I really didnt like. I thought they could have have been way sadder.
Generally I like JKR but she deserves a slap for her dismissal of Sirius! She lives not far from me so I'll go and find her ;)

I was bawling when he died in the 5th book. Though I was rather disappointed in how they portrayed his death in the movie, I still cried. Curtain = random vortex of doom?

And when you slap her, make sure to give her one for me, then another for all the obsessive Sirius fans of the world. ;]
