Just tell them you're happy the way you are. And then turn around and flat out ask them if they're happy. That should make them think, provided they have brains. If you're happy being quiet, then I see no reason that you should change yourself just to fit someone else's ideal. That would probably make you unhappy in itself, so bugger them.
