So he says, "Okay, I didn't plan on having you work ( Read more... )

I just spoke to the manager. He said someone was supposed to call me on saturday to ask me to work sunday but they forgot. Totally their fault.

My first day is Tuesday at 4:30, woohooo!

hehe. you have a job. sucker.

your imaginary customer interaction is even better than anne's conversation with a scone-loving lady at chatz.

"can you heat up this scone for me?"
"sure." (anne reaches over to place it in the microwave)
"NO! not the microwave! isn't there another way you could heat it up for me?"
"well, i could shit on it."

by the way... pencil holders really DO make good christmas gifts.

oh... but you did. with more of a giggle than actual malice. she was this really cute, tremendously poised asian woman. aside from that all i really remember about her is her HUGE diamond ring. it was obnoxious.

Hahahaha! Great post, my dear.

There's nothing like returning to the retail world, is there? When I did that a couple years ago I was surprised at how great it was. It made me realize how spoiled I must've been when I was a teenager.

Man, it's shocking. It's not so bad but it's just really hard to suddenly have to be really helpful when I'm used to pretty much ignoring the world. I can be a decent actor though. I think I am learning some life lessons while getting an employee discount.

tonight I'm working the "unload the shipment at midnight" shift! woohoo!
