i too love the odd sneakers that hardly anyone has. i had adidas shelltoes with orange blue orange stripes when everyone else just had blue blue blue. but mmm, new balance. these are mine:

I remember them Red 26 shoes and your seemingly inordinate pride over them. They WERE really cool, though. I also remember thinking, wow - 26 - that's old. And now it's what, nearly ten years later, and I think that 35 is young, because I'm nearly there myself. Time plays funny tricks on people.
