I'm on the verge of abandoning LJ too. Well, not completely. I'll keep it as a place for venting and writing more private stuff, but I've decided to start a public blog on Wordpress when I move to Rome. You're right, it's not the same any more. I've gone through so many rounds of adding new people to liven it up, but the new people stop posting after a while. In general, the only people who are still active are the ones like us, who can't quite give up. 10 years is such a long time! I've been on here for 7 years, which is just under a third of my life.

Yeah. You at least seem to still be able to use LJ for those things; somehow I just can't anymore. All I write on here now is pretty banal everyday stuff. I don't know. Bah.
