Why are you disappointed that they released new hardware? I'm not sure I understand.

I'm disappointed because I bought my system a week before it became obsolete, basically. Perhaps I should have known that Apple is quiet about hardware releases, and trolled the rumor boards to find out when it would happen, or something.

I guess my disappointment in obsolescence just doesn't tend to be directed at the companies that are producing newer shinier stuff.

I think the engineers at Apple are top-rate. I'm taking issue with the marketing strategy of being very quiet about when the shiny new stuff comes out. Again, I should have looked into this.
