i cried when they gave me my list of food not to eat, and snuck off and ate them all secretly. course, i was like 10. then i wound up fall face first into a boulder and breaking my front two teeth, getting a mild concussion, and needing to find a doctor on labor day out in montauk to take the damn things off cause they were mangled and painful and i was going to my aunt's wedding the next day. i don't recommend that course of action.

Never noticed your teeth before, what are you getting corrected?

Uggh corn on the cob. I still won't eat corn on the cob because of the misery of when I tried to eat it when I had braces.

I remember my mom making me fried tender chicken livers after my orthodontic appointments, but I don't know if that's your type of treat. :)

another warning: take good care of your teeth while having the braces. I wasn't so good at that, and developed weak spots in the enamel around the brackets, etc, that later turned into cavities, that I'm still rectifying. Be careful.
