    "I don't want to survive. I want to live." - Wall-e 2008

Wow. I didn't expect a movie, moreover, an animated movie, to proclaim such knowledge and wisdom. Come to think of it, every single day of our lives, we tend to aim (if that's even an appropriate word for this) for mediocrity. We just want to survive our tests for the day. We just ( Read more... )

Wow! I was deeply moved by your entry. Yes, I agree, that people should not just strive for what's good, for what's ordinary, when they can always be better, if not best.

Life is too short for us to stay unnoticed and not take risks.

As Henry J. Heinz says, "To do a common thing uncommonly well, brings success."

Let us not just aim for passing marks and a college diploma, we should aim to be the best that we can be, and to understand what it means to really live. ;)

Keep it up, Jerome! :D

I agree that we should always strive to excel and do our best in everything that we do. God gave us talents for a reason-to use them. But He also gave us free will and thus it s a choice a person makes whether he would develop the gifts he was given or just waste them.

Sadly,I believe that most people tend to settle for less. May it be in their work or in their relationships, as long as they get by, that is enough. What they don't see is the potential that they waste in doing so. But you should also know when you are pushing for too much that it becomes detrimental for you as a person. Too much of anything isn't good right? So there should always be a balance.

Good job Jerome! I look forward to reading more of your work!:)
