I wish time would stop for a week or two so i can just get all these random things i want to get done, done. like i want to set up our entertainment area, figure out how our tv works etc. The HD channels are coming out in widescreen mode and they're still too stretchy even if we set our tv to do widescreen mode. so i'm not sure if this is

Which AJAX book did you buy? I got AJAX in Action a while ago, but haven't really started reading it yet, just skimmed some parts. I really need to learn it soon for work though. It's actually relatively simple to code really simple dumb examples in it that don't use a DB, but doing complicated stuff requires you to set up a bunch of scripts to call for getting useful data, and that is where it looks like it starts to get way tricky.

I got the Prentice Hall book. I browsed the other books there and the two that seemed the most useful were this one and one that was written like the blahblah for dummies books. I chose this one cause it's a name i recognized... i think from text books(math text books) though :(. I'm just learning ajax for fun. Someone told me about SVG and it got me interested in it and ajax. I guess it's my way of not learning Flash right now.
