...will a 5 dollar donation not be accepted because it's not enough! 5 dollars! I mean, the average junky on my street would probably offer me oral sex for 5 dollars! The ONE TIME in the year I actually want to give something to society, I'm rejected! Well, I learned my lesson, heheh. As proof of my good intentions, check out this fascinating ( Read more... )

the reason why the donation needs to be over 10 is because the credit card company charges the company responsible for collecting a certain amount of money per transaction.

say a 100 people donated 1 dollar, yes that is 100, but the transaction fee for each was like .05 cents, thats only getting 95 dollars, but if you donated 10 per person, thats 995 for the same fee. yep.

it also discourages ridiuclous donations, say that of .. 2cents of osmething stupid like that. what is the point of charging ONE CENT on your credit card, its a waste of a transaction.

...youre in business/economics.. shouldnt you know any of this real world shit?

booya!

I know there's a transaction fee, but even if it were a quarter per transaction, 5 bucks would still net you $ 4.75. They'd be foregoing that amount entirely. Besides, some people can't reasonably afford a $ 10 donation, so they don't pay anything, whereas they might have contributed something if the limit were lower. Those small amounts really add up, so their opportunity cost is huge ( ... )

Haha, that was my brother Charlie replying. "Borrie Worrie" is something my brothers sometimes call me, heh. Good times.

So as not to stray from the topic at hand, I will naturally consider this
a) a concession of defeat and
b) confirmation of my superiority over you.

I think it's only fair.

It means (and this is an approximate translation, mind you): "Borrie Worrie, you have attained a level of coolness such as the world has never seen before. Plus you're tall, and like, get good grades and stuff. Furthermore, that Chinese person is totally not cool. Dutch Power!!!"

Of course, that's merely stating the obvious...
