I don't know many folks up among Those People (no offense intended to her family, of course); however if someone can oodge him down over the Tennessee border into Sullivan County then life could become interesting. My best advice would be just what S. is doing, call in the home folks and especially any local clergy who might be close to the family. Nothing like being spoken of from the pulpit to rein in an ass.
I'd also consider whether any of the new fixes are in a binding written sales agreement. If they aren't and one has already executed, then tell him to go pound sand. The sales agreement is the binding contract, imo, not some brow-beaten diatribe.
Myself, I'd like to be the fly on the wall should S. have to hie on up there herself to deal with the matter...I've never seen anyone flayed with a potato peeler before.

God, Sirona, I'm so sorry. That's just unconscionable.
Let me know if you want me to see if I know any lawyers in that neck of the woods (I know me some drs, just not lawyers - yet).
I'm glad Gale thought to call you - as much as I know this is worrying you, I know you'll take care of it (even from here). Do you have the name and # of her broker - he/she needs to step up, it's what he/she gets paid for. And I agree 100% with Master C - if it's not in writing and SIGNED, it doesn't count.
