You Don't Know What You've Got Till It's Gone

This morning I found myself looking over some of my old entries -- and not what I wrote so much but the discussions that came after. Again and again I was amazed at the thoughtfulness of the responses people left. Although I was hardly unappreciative at the time, I took for granted the supportive community that happened to develop at that time. I ( Read more... )

Today it rained so hard that all the plants on my porch blew over and I found the watering can halfway down the stairs. But it turned into a beautiful day! I was also pleased because I had some mint that was wilting something awful but I moved it out of the direct sun and now it is doing much better.

How did you know I needed a random garden update? :) I'm happy to hear the watering can was found and the mint is reviving.

The rain has left the world very muggy. I am house sitting for a prof and after biking over there felt very sticky. Urgh. Perhaps after the ride over there to bed the dogs down I shall have to recover with ice pops.

I am thinking I will make progress on my drawing tonight. Tomorrow we get up early to go to Marblehead for smoked cheese, yarn, and a safari park. I really, really want a giraffe to stick its head in through the sunroof.

Ice pops sound good! I'm thinking about getting a bike. Maybe I could ride my bike to school. I haven't told you about the new apartment I'm moving into. It's closer to my school so biking to work would be a possibility!

What are you working on in your drawings?

Marblehead sounds like an excellent place to visit. A safari park? I wouldn't know where the nearest safari park from here is.
