At long last, we've managed to upload our pics from New Zealand. We took over 2400 pictures, so it took a while to narrow down to a good 1100 or so to upload, and then sort and label them all. While we haven't had time to write up and post our travel journal, I tried to include the basics of each day in the set description and explain what needs

Nope, we only took Frodo Bear with us. The various tours were marketing-minded enough to buy assorted props for folks to talk pictures with along the way as part of the tour. A very cool idea, particularly with the swords. Yeah, those would have been fun to get through customs... ;)

Can I just say, Frodo Bear is the cutest companion ever.

Isn't that great? She made that outfit for that bear for a costume contest several years back to go with her Arwen chase dress entry, riding in with Frodo Bear and a hobby horse. :D It's just stayed on him ever since. I loaned him my Lothlorien leaf pin for the trip, though.

Thanks for making the "best of" set. I will go back and see more, but this was a great way to get a good taste of the whole trip.

The Frodo Bear was just adorable. And I particularly liked the "Caitlin and the elven cloak fabric" shot. What was it like rolling down the hill?
